Textile House
About
Textile House is an industrial textile sorting company headquartered in Slovakia with over 20 years of experience in the post-consumer textile market, operating a 16,000 square meters sorting center that processes over 20,000 tones annually. The company purchases post-consumer textiles from collection operators across Europe, with multi-geography sourcing ensuring consistent feedstock volume and providing comparative data on textile composition and collection system performance.
As an industrial operator aligned with the EU Waste Framework Directive and integrated into textile Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) schemes, including the French EPR, Textile House follows the waste hierarchy: 70 percent sorted for reuse, 20 percent for recycling, and 10 percent as solid recovered fuel for non-recyclable textiles. The company operates over 170 second-hand and vintage retail shops across 11 European countries, which absorb 40 percent of sorted reuse-grade textiles and provide direct market validation and feedback for continuous sorting quality improvement.
