Semso

About

With over 30 years of expertise, SEMSO is a recognised industrial partner in the design and manufacturing of custom automated machinery, addressing the specific requirements of high-demand sectors such as agri-food, pharmaceuticals, aerospace, and textiles. SEMSO’s solutions integrate advanced technologies in automation, robotics, and machine vision, ensuring high performance, operational safety, and long-term sustainability.

Building on extensive experience in the design, development, and commissioning of automated machines and production lines, SEMSO offers comprehensive technical expertise covering industrial feasibility studies, system engineering, and the development of automated machine prototypes integrating industrial robots and vision-based systems.

Through its in-house R&D and industrial prototyping capabilities, SEMSO actively contributes to innovation-driven projects by delivering robust technical solutions for complex industrial challenges. Prototypes are developed, tested, and validated under real operating conditions to ensure technical reliability, efficiency, and full compliance with industrial standards.

SEMSO supports its partners and clients in optimising manufacturing costs, production lead times, quality control, traceability, and throughput by providing turnkey manufacturing processes designed for scalability, economic viability, and industrial deployment.

All stages of development—including assembly, mechanical integration, welding, electrical wiring, and prototype manufacturing—are carried out within SEMSO’s facilities, ensuring full control over quality, timelines, and technical coherence.

Role in the project

Within the framework of the SORT4CIRC project, SEMSO contributes by developing an automated conveying and sorting system controlled by a vision-based solution, dedicated to textile sorting. This contribution supports circular economy objectives by enabling efficient, automated sorting processes and facilitating industrial-scale textile recycling and reuse.
