reverse.fashion
About
reverse.fashion is dedicated to advancing the circular economy through cutting-edge technology for automated textile sorting. Currently, sorting decisions for post-consumer textiles are completely manual and limited in their detection capabilities, creating a bottleneck for circular business models. Its solution enables companies involved in textile sorting to significantly enhance their efficiency and precision, providing high-quality feedstock for resale, repair, upcycling, and recycling processes. The AI-based software uses computer vision, enables processing of Digital Product Passport data, and can be combined with spectroscopy solutions for material composition detection.
Founded in 2024 as a spin-off from the Technical University of Berlin, reverse.fashion builds upon years of research and innovation. Its team brings extensive experience in the sorting industry, with profound industry expertise, allowing us to develop solutions tailored to real-world challenges. Its core goal is to empower sorting businesses to make informed, sustainable decisions by optimising textile sorting in alignment with the waste hierarchy, thus driving a circular economy for textiles.
Role in the project
As part of SORT4CIRC, reverse.fashion will advance its AI-based sorting technology with new features and demonstrate it in a production environment at Textile House.
