Resortecs is a circular design and recycling technology company enabling textile products to be designed for disassembly. Through Smart Stitch™, a heat-activated sewing thread, and Smart Disassembly™, an industrial thermal disassembly system, Resortecs enables efficient separation of complex garments at the end of life. This unlocks high-quality textile recycling at scale for brands, sorters, and recyclers.

Role in the project

Resortecs’ role in SORT4CIRC project is the development and implementation of the Design for Disassembly (DfD) methodology with their thermal disassembly systems, involving heat-dissolvable stitching and traceability integration. Resortecs is the leader of task 3.4 — “Recognition of DfD solutions of garments with Smart Stitch™ technology and automated assessment of disassembly efficiency while sorting by composition after Smart Disassembly”.
