About
IRIS is an advanced engineering company specialising in real-time monitoring solutions based on photonics-based Process Analytical Technology (PAT) systems and industrial artificial intelligence (machine learning and deep learning). These solutions enable data-driven process efficiency and quality standardisation across the food, chemical, pharmaceutical, bio-based, and other process industries. In addition, IRIS develops digital twins and AI-enabled cloud platforms for the digitalisation and interconnection of value chains.
Role in the project
IRIS is the leader of WP3 – Textile recognition for automatic sorting in real-time.
Its main responsibilities include:
- Selection of optical techniques for the identification of complex textiles
- Development of chemometric, AI and ML models
- Development of an inline Multirange Spectroscopic Smart Sensing System
- Data Management platform and predictive modelling
- Recognition of DfD eco-design prototypes
